Incido is a mordern multi-weight typeface made entirely from straight lines. Incido is the latin word to cut, carve and slash. The typeface was created to reflect these values and capture a sense of movement. The typeface was initially developed by experimenting with paper and cutting out shapes to create letterforms. Building a typeface in this manner using straight lines and limited angles created a unique form and unfinshed aesthetic.
Incido is built on a fixed axis meaning the same glyphs across different weights fit inside each other. This enables the weights to be interchanged with little variation in line length allowing for even typesetting.
Incido supports Western European typesetting and is available in both .otf and .woff formats.
